Russia-91 keeps on winning in Sweden

2009 U18 2009 Five Nations Tourn.

After the convincing 5-2 against Sweden in tournament's opening day, Team Russia repeated themselves as in the second match they beaten Czech Republic with the same score. Plyuschev iced for this game Avangard's goalkeeper Eduard Reyzvikh, after Igor Bobkov's strong performance against the Swedes. Reyzvikh has delivered a good performance, with thirty saves.

This time the game was easier for Team Russia as they were 4-0 after thirty minutes of play thanks to goals scored by Kirill Kabanov, Dmitri Orlov, Konstantin Bochkarev and Maxim Kitsyn. In the third period the Czechs tried to fight back and scored the 4-1 goal with Jakub Orsava, but it was too late. At the fourty-third Andrei Sergeev restored Russia's four-goal lead. A late goal by Adam Havlik, with a double man advantage, changed the final result, but not the overall impressions about the match, where Plyuschev's team overplayed the opponents coming out with an easy, deserved win.

2010 eligibles Kirill Kabanov and Maxim Kitsyn have played once again a strong match, Kabanov with one goal and one assists, Kitsyn with a single goal. Good performances came also from Andrei Sergeev and Dmitri Orlov.
